Is it possible to download a ps3 save file and be able to save on it or merge it with a save file created by yourself so that you can save?

Reason: I am trying to play a FF 13 save file but it will not let me save so there really is no point in even playing it. I would like to play the save i have downloaded as it has max gil on it. (I have beaten the game already but the real game doesn't get good till post game and tons of gil or $ is required post game).

If not maybe some one knows how to hex edit the Gil. There is a save file out there where a player has every item, with max money and cp for their characters in chapter 3 which is impossible literally. (For example the growth egg can not be obtained for several chapters past chapter 3 and to even kill the monster that drops it most people use a technique that requires you to have played at least to chapter 12). Some may say the save is obviously fake but i downloaded it and played it, but there is no way to save it that I know of.

There are only 4 files in the save file and 2 of them have only 2 sections different (in the SFO and the PFD) the picture is the 3rd file which is not really needed which leaves the 4th file being the data file which is almost 100% un-identical from every save made.

I dunno any offsets and dunno where to even start since simply making several save files does not help the situation at all. I am on the latest OFW for my PS3.

Side Note: Maybe some JB user can transfer the save data from 1 file to the other by loading and over writing it, but I think that wont work since I read some where the PS3 hash's the file and I am guessing it cant be replicated?

I really really do not want to JB my PS3 as I only have 1, can't afford another, as well as the obvious reasons. (I am a PS+ member and also the loss of playing online is a big bummer as I love playing games online as well. Not only would multi-player not work but I would have wasted money on PS+ as well as I would not be able to use the online storage or anything online in general)

You can use the Xploder to resign a downloaded save to your profile.

xploder costs money though =[

I know on some games simply switching the id's to match yours makes them work (and I have done that using a hex editor on both locations where your id's appear in the SFO) but i still get corrupted file.

Maybe some one who has exploder can do it for me? (lol ya right . . .)

If i JB my PS3 just to do this and then update back to OFW will I be able to play the hacked version? I just need 6m gil or so to make some items and such as I do not mind grinding, but even with maxed characters, i can not effectively farm for Gil without already having good items =[

It would cost you more money to downgrade and jailbreak your system then it would to buy the Xploder.

There are people who have Xploder who will help if you just ask.

Hey man it worked thanks a lot!! I am probably going to get xploder eventually. Enjoying FF 13 then maybe in a few days I'll play FF 13-2. Hopefully it doesn't sux as much as ff 10-2 did.

See, I told you that there are a lot of people who have Xploder that will help.

You must have been used to other sites where help usually never comes but here the community is pretty helpful.
