FWIW, Thank you a real lot none the less mate!!!

I actually did try the disc swapping method, but... The discswapping method requires that you disassemble the PS3, to block the sensors that detects whether the lid is closed (on the ps2 slim atleast.. on the ps2 fat, you need a special card(you can cut it with a scissor and some strong durable paper), and 1(...ONE) of the 6 screws in my ps2 is so INSANELY tightened from the factory that I cannot get it loosened.. not even with the correctly proper-size screwdrivers... So the thread on the screw is kinda broken now... and even when it wasn't, it was impossible...*

What makes it even more annoying is the fact that my little brother had a SCPH-9000x model datecode C(of which some of them could be softmodded), but it couldn't be softmodded, the BIOS in it was too new... Oh, and the point.. the screws on his PS2 was quuite loose (.__. )..

The game I tried with was Fifa 2008
If he for some reasons tricks me, or its a trap of sorts I'm going into, when I go to visit that guy, I will ask you out for the help And perhaps give a pizza, if its something for your taste, but I will contact you over PM then I really doubt its a trap though :D

Again thanks for the help

You can install FMCB on any model (even if the console has a new BIOS), you just can't run it with the new BIOS.

If you have a 9000x the swap disk method is as easy as burning the disk and stuffing something into the switch hole in the front of the tray. You just can't run fmcb on it.

Somehow missed this thread. I'm in Indiana in the US, if someone pays shipping both ways, then I'd be happy to convert their mc. I have 4 or 5 cards with fmcb, it only takes a moment of my time to make a new one.

I'm confused the installation of FMCB was a breeze in my case.
Here is what I did.
1) Purchase action replay max
2) put needed files on USB flash drive
3) On action replay max navigate and run media player
4) In media player run the FMCB Installer.elf

Or if you don't want to by Action replay max you can use the ps1 title.db exploit and run FMCB installer.elf. Although this route needs more work but is completely free (if you have a PS1 game laying around).

And if you really don't want to make one yourself and was going to pay for this to be done anyways you could just get the memor32 memor32 memory card in combination with the memento firmware.

I am interested in getting fmcb for my ps2. I have a phat console with the network adapter on it. I don't really have anything else for it. I was looking at an IDE drive, but they are not cheap for the space they give you. But I would like to mess with the ps2 I have. Fmcb and all the other little programs would be nice. What all would I need to send someone? Just a ps2 memory card? What size?

@stussy1 did it come with all the fmcb programs like hdadvanced and others? Seems like it would be cool to mess around with. Are you going to use an external or an IDE wi network adaptor? Who did yours and what size memory scard did you use? Sorry for all the questions. I bought this ps2 like 3 months ago for this very reason and never got around to it.
