It's a known play on his name. Egohot because he adores praise for his hacks and this is the reason he got sued to high heaven, he released it under his real name, George Hotz, instead of anonymously.

To be totally honest, as far as I'm concerned sony deserve to get butt raped by hackers to the point the company has to close down. Removing OtherOS was EXTREMELY low, but the sh*t that they did to graf is just deplorable to the Nᵗʰ degree. They just bullied him to prove a point and I for one am glad some hackers respond this way... though I'd advise against identifying themselves when they do these things; by all means show that you hacked them, so that maybe this way people will think twice about supporting sony in any way, but try not to lead the authorities right to your front doors.

That is true, but at least this way we are BOTH screwed. I think I'm a very pragmatic sort of fellow, and so I believe in the concept of "necessary evil" and this is how I view these things; although, I really do wish that end users not be involved in this, but as I see it sony involved me (and every ps3 user) in their convoluted plan to get rid of OtherOS... or as they would rather have us believe "fight piracy".

Everytime I head of sony getting hacked I just think of all those adages, the concept of Karma, and Newton's third law of motion. In any case, I sincerely hope that no non-sony person has to suffer for this; I can't say I have the same sympathy for anybody that wears a suit and works for sony.

Just sayin but it il cause more damage to sony if they actually have planed to hack the console imo, but i know that this people don't have any reverse engineering skills they just know how to hack stupid servers with DDos and other stupid things.
