@mryumyum
your welcome. Hit the like button if I helped at all. Try to reflash your 4.11 bios to the console. Then try to redowngrade, or you can try to exit fsm where you are right now. If it bricks, then you are back at square one and you can reflash your bios and try again.

Why don't you just put the lv2diag.self for exit of FSM on the root of your USB drive, by itself. Then boot the PS3 and it will shut off after 30 seconds. Remove the USB and boot the PS3, you should be out of FSM and on 3.55. If I have misunderstood what is going on, I apologize.

@playerkp420
this is really weird situation. He bricked downgrading because he went to kmeaw instead of rogero. Then after we got all the soldering ad hardware issues fixed, he tried to flash his unpatched 4.11 bios to the console and then downgrade. Well, after he flashed the console with his 4.11 bios and the e3 downgrade.bin, he turned it on and instead of saying plug in controller, it was in fsm on 3.55?
************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* He also had a bios dump from when he was on 3.55 so, I think the 2 may have gotten mixed up.

More than likely that is what happened. So it's fixed right? Just exit FSM and enjoy.

@playerkp420
but this is from kmeaw 3.55 . He never dehashed. He bricked on this firmware and now that he reflashed it, it is showing fine in fsm? If he exits will he not soft brick? How is it working now on kmeaw 3.55 without dehashing?

Ah, more interested parties. Well, I'm working on something that hopefully should work, but it's not done yet. I think it's just a matter of time.
But just to answer your question player, I did try using that second lv2. I don't know why since I knew it would brick, but I did it. And it bricked. So I went through and put my 4.11 (or whatever it is) backup back on and got to where I was again. And then, after trying a couple things, I put all switches down (OFW mode) and it told me things were in bad shape, please put in a usb stick with OFW 4.11 or higher. So I'm downloading it now and my plan is to get it back onto 4.11 OFW, then start from square one using Rogero. Should work, right? ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Oh, and the fact that it asked for 4.11 or higher means that it is running 4.11 firmware. I was restoring 4.11 to the OFW mode and not the CFW mode, right? Either way, I think it's going well. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Spoke too soon. BSOD. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Ok, so I got everything back to normal and I started the whole process over again. I got to step 5 on this tutorial, but I don't get the message asking me to insert a controller. It's just a black screen. According to this Normal E3 downgrade Process, it says I should have the downgrade bin and the backup bin both on the sd card, but that isn't mentioned in the tutorial I'm following. It also says something about patching the backup bin. I'll work more on it tomorrow, but for now it doesn't boot anymore. Last edited by mryumyum; 09-05-2012 at 02:09 AM. |

Ok, so I think I should end this thread since it's becoming a little bit scattered. I have made it fairly far in the tutorial but am running into a blue screen problem. I'll make a new thread about it since it's really a separate problem entirely.
Thanks for all the help I've received. It's been invaluable to getting my system up and running again. |

I pressed that red facebook-ish like button on that post where you had that paragraph describing how to fix everything. Is that the right one?
