rogero is fine, it does everything that kmeaw does. also i dont know about flashing a firmware just yet, you may want to make sure your system is dehashed first.

Sorry just there isn't a date that the message has been added i cant figure out if its for an older version or something... Also the fear of screwing up everything :D

Other than that your guide has just helped me to step by step, successfully install cfw to a ps3, for which man I am forever grateful. I just glanced at the other guide that's linked to the banner topic. OMG how much trouble u saved me :D
I'd buy you a beer if you're that type of person! ;d
ya bdemu is only for older versions of multiman, if you installed the new version and bdemu everything will still be fine. a beer? i would take a vodka and oj.

I expected to see only one .pkg file when i unrared the mmCM, however there are quite a few.

Should I install only the .pkg from the mmCM folder? Are the other stuff needed?

Read the readme, it tells you what each pkg is for

You only need to install mmCM (XX.xx.xx) full (or) base . pkg to run back ups.

Thanks again for the info, I am at my last steps of managing my ps3 on my own! ^^

I installed MumtiMan and BlackBox FTP, i managed to transfer two .pgk formated games onto a newly created folder on dev_hdd0 (after hours with 2.4 mb/s via wi-fi), from there i installed the pkg files and now the games are running perfectly with logos on xmb and shait

HOWEVER i stumbled across another game format, the one with the PS3_GAME/UPDATE/DISC files in, i read everywhere and found out that these things should be transferred in:
A: dev_hdd0/game/Laun12345/(SomeWierdNumbers)/PS3_FILES
B: dev_hdd0/game/(WhatEverYouNameTheFolder)/PS3_FILES
C: dev_hdd0/GAMES/Laun12345/(SomeWiredNumbers)/PS3_FILES

(also i searched but didn't find Laun12345 anywhere, so i just created it, don't know if it's normal not to have them in the first place)
The two pkg game that I installed earlier are in dev_hdd0/game/(SomeWierdNumbers)/files
I can tell this cuz the name of the .pkg file of one of the games had the same numbers as the (SomeWierdNumbers) folder in dev_hhd0/game

However i couldn't manage to copy anything, it was like the ftp client was bugged.
I also read that where you should copy your games depends on Multiman.

So I ask you my dear saviors
Where should i put those PS3_FILES games?
What should be the folder name of the game content? - (SomeWierdNumbers) or (WhatEverYouName)
Also how to increase transfer speed, i tried directly connecting the ps3 via lan cable to pc with 10.1.1.1 for the ps3 and 10.1.1.2 for the pc, didn't do any other settings but adress changes, so that's my guess why it didn't manage to connect.
Also will these games display on my xmb or do i have to start them via multiman?

Sorry guys i have so many questions I feel you are the only one who would actually bother to answer.

mmCM is stored at dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608

Games internal should be stored dev_hdd0/games/<gamefoldernamehere>/ps3_game

OR (I think mmCM update allows games to go to: )

dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/usrdir/game or something similar... I dont remember.

Games external shoud be dev_usb00x/GAMES(or GAMEZ)/<gamefoldernamehere>ps3_game

LAUN12345 is out dated as I said before. I dont use it for anything at all.

I dont know what "PS3_FILES" are, I dont have any thing named like that.

EDIT:

Googled and found this:

LAUN12345 is the original Backup Manager if you have MF2 stealth ... Create now a subdirectory under /dev_hdd0/game/LAUN12345/GAMEZ/
So I was right. If you had looked into that you would know my answer was relevant. Laun12345 is redundant.

now here is an answer, ps3_files is just a made up term that combines ps3_game ps3_update and ps3_disc

So it's supposed to go in 80608...
Currently I'm transferring a game in dev_hdd0/GAMES/(FolderName)
it's 80% alrdy so i wont stop it.. hope multi will read it from there.. if not i'll just transfer it in 80608 as you said... thank you!
