Hope they do some official REP on the next days/weeks for the sake of the users who trusted them.
all im saying is they have done some work obviously. now i can give credit to that. think of it like a beta release and umm.. wait to see what comes is all i will say.

What I know:

Dongle will be DRM'd

Will allow downgrading from any firmware on any console to E3 CFW (fully compatible with 3.55)

Will come with 3 free credits

1 credit = 1 downgrade

After that the dongle will install a "temporary CFW" which will generate an encrypted file from PS3 you can put on PC and upload to E3 team, they will send you a PPF file, you use PPF to patch official Sony FW and install PROPER CFW- this will only work on your PS3

Each code costs US$10.. this is to stop professional modders from buying 1 dongle and downgrading dozens or hundreds of PS3s without paying E3 any extra money

I have no idea who leaked the 3.60 keys... E3 won't confirm or deny
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
Oh.. dongle does not need to stay plugged into PS3 during games etc.. only during the downgrade process

Sort of like DRM "lite"

Im in the same oppinion that duplex did not cracked TB, this comparison is enought to prove it... duplex eboots was not generated from TB eboots
Also, after this first eboots (12 games the day 2012-08-15) they have not released any more (people imagined the trick TB was using by extracting eboots signed with 3.60 keys from game updates), so no point for them to release more eboots because they had not the "exclusivity"

Like i said days ago (when talking about this in the irc)... is not the first time duplex pretends to be "the saviours of the scene" (like when they began to release PSN cracks with the reverse engineering work of juannadie)
Also, the other warez groups doesnt likes them (like when duplex decided to not specify the region of the game and keep a politic of "first region wins"... then all the other groups gave them a fu@k, nuked his release with this "ultimatum", and made fun of them for being smartass)

Why this sounds probable for me ?
The "only" technical problem is how to downgrade the newer models (or if we keep at the minimun needed.... hot to downgrade the "metldr.2")
But the rest sounds very convincent to me, it matches with the initial announcement and this "online service"
Also, the only thing they said about games (please correct me if im wrong) was they pretended to release "the key" to resign games (this key maybe was 3.60)... in the end they are hardware manufacturers, not directly related with "cracked" games

Ok, after "thinking" in it a bit more... i have a different oppinion:

Its different to crack one of the TB games (with a decrypted eboot)... than to crack TB dongle itself (TB protections)... or to crack the DRM protection (sony stuff)

To obtain a decrypted copy of the eboots was needed to "bypass" the TB dongle protections, and there was groups working in this time before... the day when this was done public was when naehrwert explained how the TB "virtual machine" works... after this day the inner protections of TB dongle can be considered cracked

So i have to retire what i said about the first duplex eboots (this 12 games from 2012-08-15) probably was obtained from a running TB cfw
The comparison COLDAUSTIN did between eboots must be done in .ELF format (so is not valid because was done in .SELF format)

For article not good enough to be front paged, there are pretty much lot of comment, not all are good (mine for example) but @bubbleboy give possible explanation for E3 system.

Article was also about trueblue but here...seem to make users more reluctant/scare to speak.
Anyway, nice to enjoy theory/ ideas / exclusive infos,
How s about this lite DRM will be "accepted" by modders/scene if that happen?

You're right i rarely use the forums, except to comment on certain articles on the front page, most of the articles aren't of interest to me anyway i don't have a CFW console at present so i'm not really reading much of the news in depth for the time being.
