Q: My PS3 Slim CECH250-4A 160GB (2010modele) running a ofw 5.56 ; I checked with MinVerCheck tells me 5.56 ofw is the last one can be installed, so any idea wath is that is it real or MinVer needs update ?

wow when did you buy this ps3?
i thought 4.21 was the current firmware
or do you mean 3.56
if it says 3.56 in minversion then your stuck for now. sorry

it doesnt show the soldering but where the solder points on the linker goto on the ps3's like the progskeet diagrams.
i am currently doing them (among other things) and will post them soon ( i actually forgot shhhh )

I should have given you more info. I have tried to remarry after downgrading with no luck.
I have tried playing a bluray movie while in service mode...etc.
I have even dumped and played around with flashing the MX25 spi chip, writing an HRL to it that i can match a DRL on the PS3 flash with no luck, I always get the "Prohibited" message.
The next nand PS3 i downgrade I will follow your guide to the letter and see if it works this time.

ok i have a Phat ps3 in for downgrade NAND and i will see if i get the same as you.

if you find a fix yourself pls post.

i will try and do it tomorrow then i'm away till monday.

is there any reports like this in any of the re-marry threads?

can you try downgrading to 3.50 or 3.15 and trying the other 2 re-marry files HERE
and see if one of them fix this.
there is a guide on how to downgrade with QA flag HERE

i dont know "yet" if you still need to use the "CFW355-OTHEROS++-SPECIAL.pup"
that could have been needed for the QA flag to work or it might actually be needed to allow the downgrade. but i'm sure the QA flag allows downgrading.

anyway if one of them works let me know and i will add it to the guide

yes you can use Amaze Break to enter service mode AFTER you have dumped / patched / re-flashed your NOR or NANDs

I have downgraded to 2.30, 3.15, 3.41, 3.50 (all possible remarry firmwares) and tried the remarry...still "Prohibited" message.

I also tried pulling the bd drive out of a never-downgraded 3.55 nand PS3 with working bluray movie play back, remarried it to the downgraded PS3, and transferred the known working DRL from the working PS3 to the downgraded one, and STILL got the "Prohibited" message.

All the tests I tried were done on one nand PS3 that was QA flagged right after downgrading, I never bothered to try to restore playback on any of the other nand PS3's that I downgraded.

I don't really care if I ever get br movie playback restored on this PS3, it's just more of a learning/curiosity thing for me, and if I ever figure it out, I'll be sure to let you know.

I've never really followed any of the remarry threads too much so I'm unsure if there are any others that have lost playback from a hardware downgrade.

Also, IIRC, I think I read somewhere quite a while back, that if there is too much tampering with DRL/HRL, br movie playback is permanently disabled, but can't find where I read that. If thats true then its likely why I have never been able to get it to work.
