my sony product always have an issues genuine or not, spending a money with a high price, wasting a time to finding a solution..etc

here the answer of freedom mean:

A1: the freedom is after the hacker releasing the hack kit.
A2: save ourself from a high price issue and software issues.
A3: save the money from a bug intentionally by the company to let you pay for it.

as for psn personal data, i have no account or personal data in PSN yet. until the sony make discount of games and solve our software issue for free.

i'm not only to say that, alot of people have same thing. ask them why they are looking for jailbreak or downgrade for ..!!?

Because only a 30% wants homebrews and the rest warez?, don't see anything wrong with that.
If they are looking for JB or downgrade is to spend more bucks in a hardware flasher with a *minor* (sic) risk of get a nice brick. (Or bad soldering/etc/etc)

About being geniune or not you have the same issues in most products today.
Even being a *Pirate* in some cases (Like windows the most pirated OS) you get better results than being legit.

Freedom:

A1) You have many hack tools, apps, etc. It's up to the hacker/dev to release them (and the time that takes to you to learn how to properly handle them) so you have to wait or buy another thing meanwhile this happens unless you want to DIE of boredom. That's another reason most of PS3 users if they can afford a second PS3 they own 2 or more. One for play online another just to mess around. I don't see freedom there...you are spending at the end of the day more money because many didn't how to read properly how to downgrade or indeed how to JB and they eventually mess up.

A2) The cake is a lie.

A3) Sony is not the first one nor the last one to do such thing.

At the end = that freedom you are talking about has a nice price tag.

Unlikely. Hacking sony servers and exposing their stupidity (yet again) is much more harmful than getting any keys. Piracy is not as big of a deal as they would like us to believe. Is piracy desirable? no, but IF they could really get proper #s I am 100% sure used game sales are a exponentially bigger loss of sales.

Sadly, I think if you are using a sony service you have no right to sue them, as you had to accept a waiver to your right to do class actions law suits. You can try suing them by yourself, but who has enough $$$ to go against sony's main division, e.i. their lawyers. This is probably only applicable here in the US; for some odd reason a ToS or EEULA supersedes our Constitution.

See that's the thing hellsing, sony don't care, never have, never will... maybe the only way for a change to happen is to force people to care by doing stuff like this. Not to say these "hackers" have such lofty ideals, but hey "the end justifies the means". Class actions lawsuits, individual lawsuits, letters complaining to thiev.. err politicians.

On the down side, to many people sony will be viewed as a victim.

It was a precedent. Geohot fully agreed to every single word in Sony's settlement. That is a loss if I have ever seen one. He did not even try to make the settlement more fair for himself. He just unzipped his pants and bent over with cheeks spread wide.

This showed Sony that they could get hackers in court and win. This showed courts that hackers were wrong because a hacker agreed that he was doing something wrong.

He stole donation money for the case too. He asked for donations to help with his court costs, but then settled. There was no information as to what happened to all of the donation money. During the case he also went for a vacation in South America, which also did not sit well with the hacking public that gave him donations.

Now I don't like geohot as much as the next guy... he's an attention whore, he's a wannabe eminem, etc, but I think people are very unfair in some regards towards the ******bag. As far as I know he donated the $$ to the EFF if memory serves me right, and I will be totally honest... if I ever got into a judicial problem with sony I would probably do whatever they want to make the problem go away. I certainly wish I had the F*CKING BRAVADO, THE TESTICLES, THE UBBER MACHONESS of graf (did I mention the guy is fearless?), but who am I kidding? balls as big as those only come around once every century.

Oh I see, well I just remember reading that he had done so. I still don't blame him for folding under sony's pressure though, but as I said before, he brought it upon himself for being such an attention seeking whore.


Now let's stop mentioning graf in the same post as geohot... I think we are disrespecting graf by doing so.
