no i don't think so. Should i downgrade to 3.55 and update the game or is there an easier way.

Ok so i downgraded to 3.55 rogero mfw and am now able to playmax payne 3 flawlessly but when i try to convert the eboot bin to dex to use with mmdm i get the following message /GAMES\Max Payne\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\EBOOT.BIN could not be converted to fself.
ERROR: EBOOT.ELF is not ELF file has anybody confirmed this working with mmdm???

Use the Duplex eboot patch and you shouldn´t get that error.

ok so i copied the duplex files over but am i missing something???? am I supposed to apply the duplex_mp3ebootpatch.sfv in a certain way??

no you don´t use that file.
just the eboot, the sdat file and the param.sfo if you need it.
mmDM is still giving an eboot error?

sorry about the late reply but i got called into work all weekend. I still get the same error no matter what i try. also with sniper elite v2 exact same error message when trying to convert to eboot to dex i get GAMES\Sniper Elite V2\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\EBOOT.BIN could not be converted to fself.

u cant decrypt sniper original eboot, get the fix, decrypt to elf, replace "dev_bdvd" entries to "app_home"( not always required to replace!) - save ELF and make fself of it, replace original, open mMDB, on the topbar, pick DEX cuse the game is already fixed if u done the above, mount game and njoy

or replace eboot with fix an dlet mMDB do it...

Sorry about the noob question here. I thought i was clued up a little but quite clearly i'm not. How do i make the eboot fself I can decrypt it using pkg gui open it in Hxd hex editor and replace dev_bdvd to app_home save and then rebuild the elf to eboot.bin using pkg gui but how do i make it fself?

P.s I'm not trying to decrypt the original eboot. For instance first time i used aldos dex mounter for skyrim i tried with original eboot and got error message to use eboot singned with 3.60 keys or lower. So i downloaded the fix from nodrm replaced original with fix and prophet aldos dex mounter converts eboot bin to dex and I'm playing skyrim. Ok next game i want to play is max payne 3 aldos dex mounter shows up error about eboot bin needing to be signed with 3.60 keys or lower so i download fix replace original and get error \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\EBOOT.BIN could not be converted to fself.
ERROR: EBOOT.ELF is not ELF file this is for sniper elite v2 also. Is there anybody out there has suffered with this problem and managed to get around it???

Not to worry guys the latest version of aldos mmdm works a charm ver 2.01.01 has removed all my eboot problems mp3 and sniper elite v2 have converted at the 1st time of asking
