Where is the game dir?

Went to back up a game of mine and saw the eboot from the big dump of eboots for my kmw3.55. Are these eboot compatible? I know how to ftp but when i got ahold of the eboot and opened up the rar it said not to replace the eboot in the hdd game itself but in the game dir. Its been awhile since i replaced an eboot but what do this mean? The game is on my internal hdd. Thank you

i'm not sure but it's most likely that you had to install a pkg (update) for that game? , and i guess game updates are installed somewhere else on the hdd, and you have to replace the eboot at the update place.

guessing the ps3 will ignore the original eboot in the normal folder.

Internal games:
Dev_hdd0/GAMES/ (or GAMEZ)

Internal updates are stored:
Dev_hdd0/game/

.. I believe.

swap the eboots in the PS3_GAME/Usrdir/ directory you find at the relative location.

Yes I think the nfo was stating to copy the fixed files to your game backup directory (hdd0/GAMES) not the install directory hdd0/game.

Thanks everyone, to be exact this is what the rar says

replace included files in game dir (NOT in /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30795)

So if Cut_glass is correct I replaced the files in the Games...not the game....doing so resulted in a Black Screen. Thanks

Exactly, you replace the files in the game rip. If your playing external apparently you need to use BDMirror option, [SELECT] + .

Use this site when in doubt
