Jailbreaking??? Is There Any Point??

ok, i just brought a 3.41 console bout a week ago.

ive updated it to 3.55, installed kmeaw 3.55, installed multiman 4.5 and bdemu3.55.

my problem is after downloading countless games from piratebay etc i have only managed to get 3 lego games working from the internal hard disk.

the games i brought it for like crysis 2 and arkham city i have spent days trying to get working with no joy.

am i doing something wrong??? or is the ps3 just not going to play new games like a jtag does???

Tread lightly young Patawan. We don't condone piracy here at hax. The ps3 is a delicate machine. When you jailbreak it, it has tons of potential, more than just pirating games. It isn't a pirates dream like a jtag or rgh Xbox. It takes some effort and brains to get some games to work. It isn't just rip and play on newer games like an Xbox. If you want to play newer games on your Jailbroke ps3, you have to replace eboots and param.sfo files or install a .pkg and run it or a patch, and that is only the games that have eboot patches available. Some games you will have to wait on. It takes some work and effort on your part, t nothing hard. That is one if the reasons I like them. When you get a game to work by replacing files or patching them, it is like a payoff, and also there is homebrew, and other great things. Sme games will only work on internal hard drive, some games will only on external, and some require a disk to be in the drive. Just depends on what game

No, you're best on the new rogero firmware though, and the newer games need small fixes to work

I have a jtaged 360 as well, and well... yeah... it plays games the second or before they're released. With the PS3 there's generally some waiting involved, but I prefer the PS3 controller tbh. Also, I have a 500gb hdd in my ps3, so I prefer having stuff on there.

Install showtime 4.0 and you have the most perfect media player ever. Install Retroarch and you have the best emulation console ever. Tbh the only reason I've been happy I had my jtag lately is because of the walking dead games, and tony hawk hd.

i did try backing up an original disc, that didnt work either, it would mount through multiman, go back to xmb, then when i ran the game it just sat there on a black screen, so i tried downloading one and that didnt work either.

It helps to ask about each game individually because each one will be different. Like I said before(if you even read what I wrote), some games need to be external, some internal, and some need a disc in the drive. So, what game?
