So can anyone confirm whether or not this patch crashes Desmond's missions at Animus Island?

This patch doesn't CRASH the missions on Animus Island IF you keep the BIG FILE.

IF you delete the big file then yes, it will crash on Desmonds missions (well it doesn't crash, it goes back to XMB)

What "BIG FILE" are you referring to, and where is it located? I'm using my actual disc that I ripped and just replaced only the files located in your .rar. I still got booted back to the XMB on Desmond's missions. I'll try to re-rip my game again and see what happens.

I re-ripped and for some reason, my save from Duplex's patch is not compatible with this one. I'm assuming it has to do with the param.sfo file that is located in his patch, that isn't in yours. The other thing I noticed that was different about his patch is when you load the game from multiman, 2 discs show up on the XMB. One is the actual game, and another one is a disc titled "-". I noticed that your patch did not do this.

Hey, the big file I am referring to is the 7-8gb file. It's located in USRDIR. If you try moving it to your FAT32 USB HDD, it won't allow it. I think the filename is 'AC1' or something. The reason I removed mine was because my internal was full so I wanted it to play External.

There's a possibility that you can allow Multiman to CACHE the file to internal but maybe this isn't compatible and could be the cause of what's happening to yours.

Optional - Big file delete: WARNING: deleting this file will mean you can't access Desmond Flashbacks on Animus Island
This game comes with Assassins Creed 1, which needs to be split, so you can transfer to Internal. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO INSTALL THIS, go to:
PS3_GAME\PKGDIR\PKG00
There will be a file named INSTALL.PKG simply remove the file and create a BLANK TEXT FILE and rename it to INSTALL.PKG

Run this game with Multiman and for game settings select INTERNAL and nothing else, hit start![/QUOTE]

I did split the big file with ps3 splitter and got 8 INSTALL.Pkg files and 1 Param.ISO file and one pic. But i cant still not play Desmonds flashback memorys on the island. Why?
Is cuz i play it on external? Already play thru the game, so can somebody plz help me
