without disabling the password, the HDD wont let you add files on the 360xplorer. I would put the files onto CD in that case and stick it into the XBOX and copy them manually. you wont be able to use 360xplorer unless they have a way to bypass the HDD password. idk

i put files into hard drive with xplorer360 thats how i can run unleash x on my xbox now what files are you talking about sorry for so many questions

but like i said on the xbox i noticed on unleash it says status locked

no problem about the questions. frankly, i dont see how you were able to transfer files onto the HDD while it was locked, but whatever just keep it locked or else the xbox wont boot.

the files for the emulators and XBMC. if they are on here now, it should work so long as the directories are correct. any problems running anything?

i transfer files to my xbox via filezilla but when i go to run them via applications in xbox shows empty
when i look at file explorer it shows its there
i got a feeling not installing files in there right pathes
i am installing it like E/APP/THE FILES or not putting right folders

the path would be for example for nes emu use the path:

"E/Emulators/FCEU" where FCEU is whatever name you put for the emulator.
another example would be: "E/Emulators/SNES" for SNES emu.

But the directory "Emulators" has to be spelled and capitalized as seen or it wont work. Believe me, had the headache of learning the hard way.

EDIT: not sure how he disabled the HDD password in it first before writing to the files, nor did he say which files to use and where to put to make a softmod, but whatever works. hope this info will help you out.

MAJOR EDIT: also for applications like xbmc to test out first, use path:
"E/Applications/XBMC" and u get the paths by now.

ok i just run mame ox on it booteed up to mameox screen so now i no i am going in the right direction again did it thru explorer because it didnt come up in applications just have to play around

Ok now got xbmc running time to play around

Just one problem i have is when ever i put my apps in app folder on the unleash x doesnt come up in the app folder always have to load it from explorer and go to the xbmc.xbc folder to load it and for emulators as well
Also in xbmc when i load up a emulator all good but when i get out of emu goes back to to unleashx menu doesnt stay in xbmc
