By heading on over to PS3-Tools, you'll be able to locate the public test link for thos very interesting piece of firmware. One of the more frustrating aspects about the scene in general is that there seems to be two very distinct camps when it comes to firmware solutions on a hacked console. For those who aren't so technologically inclined staying on a CEX CFW is always the better bet, while the more advanced crowd and app developers would prefer something in the DEX arena. Can't their just be a firmware to handle both tasks if need be? That's what IcEmAn hopes to accomplish through this early build of his own firmware. With the advantages of some basic debugging functions as well as direct downgrading, you would imagine that you're getting something more DEX oriented. However on the other hand, there are plenty of new XMB sections such as a convenient spot for homebrew that is sure to keep the less-organized and average consumer happy as well. PS3UPDAT.PUP copy to disk (FAT32) in / PS3/UPDATE.
CFW can be installed on a system firmware 3:55 on the recovery mode or preferably via the XMB!
Not only OFW install if already a CFW (3.55) is on it. Not use the XMB CFW MOD!

IMPORTANT:
No Spoofer install, otherwise reActPSN funzt not (vsh.self is overwritten)!
Under the category CB can no longer be installed. For DEX CFW previously have the right NOR / NAND CEX / DEX tutorial can be applied.

modding at work ... a cool feature is still missing for v2.5 final (it is not) ... can take some time if it works at all. the index version is still tested degree, from 22 clock offer this newly revised cfw's by pn for PS3 Tools member, you want to test it! the whole, it will get in a later v2.5 with (integrated) give fat theme. An interesting thing, to help today go by. I have no idea if its legit or not, hopefully more info will surface.

EDIT: seems to be 3 versions 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5 should be final ??? Hopefully someone can translate it better or make more sense of this?

AFAIK there is no download for "testing" but beware of installing anything you aren't sure of on your PS3's.

Rogero's downgrader PUP never worked for me. If this one works, it'll save some time whenever I want to downgrade to 3.55. Using the official downgrader PUP and then flashing CFW is a bit tedious.

lol I was talking about normal DEX downgrade, not those hardware flasher stuff. Like from 4.20 DEX to 3.55 DEX. His 3.55 DEX MFW says it can be used for downgrading, but it never worked for me.
