Sorry, I know people hate posts like this.
Ive just installed CFW on my PS3. I ripped my original copy of MW3 (BLES-01428) on to the internal hard drive using multi man, Ive installed 1.03 patch and have spoofed the FW to 4.11. When I try to load the game through multiman it goes back to the XMB.

That's perfectly natural. After you go back to xmb, go to the bd icon and press X or scroll up to app_home/game folder icon and press X. The game will launch.

Ive checked and the original files seem to be there

The original files and the modded files will look the same if you don't know what you're doing. Try replacing the the files with the original files and you the 1.02 patch that @hellsing9 posted for you. If that didn't work, then you must have a bad rip/copy.

Nope, still the same. Tried the other patch too

Edit:
Im going to try another drive in it tomorrow. If you guys say it should work, I believe you. RGH and Jtag is SOO much easier
