To update or not to update

Hi, I am new to the scene, and just got a ps3 slim jailbroken. I have been adding my backups, about 5 games now, and everything is going just swell. I am using this compatibility list for multiman found here

My question is, almost every game here is asking for an update. What is the best way to figure out if the update will prevent the game from loading w/ out installing it first. Is there a list somewhere that I am missing that shows the most current update and the status with multiman?

Thanks for all the help so far!

Find the 9.99 spoofer so you do not update.

Dont install the game updates.

Some game updates requires newer firmware to be run on. Unless you manage to find the eboot fix for the game updates.

Don't fuq up and lose your jailbreak.

i thought that most updates are to fix online issues, and if the game runs fine why update anyway.

Only update if you are going to do it manually and if its a N0DRM patch. But yeah if it ain't broke... don't fix it.

Disabling your internet connection on the PS3 should do the trick (at least it did for PSN games).
