If you delete your offline account, you will delete as well your online PSN ID.
So you will lost *eventually* everything.

Just create a new one, with a new mail and try it.

1) Create new *offline* account on your PS3.
2) Join PSN with that new account that you made with another (new) email address.

It's the second thing you wrote but since it seems that today the ps network is under maintenance you might want to wait until tomorrow to see if those error persist.

When i did it the only thing that got deleted was my offline account, my online account was still intact, download list and everything and i was able to use it with my new offline account.

so how would i exactly be able to keep all the dlc and psn games fixed by johnny mandli and my trophies safe? where and how to back them up basically?

and also how do i make sure like you did that i can keep my psn account? (the fact i mean that i can go ahead and redownload all my bought stuff) Im asking this because like i said before i dont wanna lose my stuff, plus my psn accounts are also back up for the FF 7,8,9 games in case my friend wanna put them on the psp.

Yeah, it seems that for now the store if messed up but maybe it will work once the they finish with the maintenance.

You have to backup your HOME folder from the hdd plus the dev_flash2 and yes your psn account will still be here(you use it with a new offline account and you can redownload all the things you already downloaded/bought once), only your offline ps3 user account wil be deleted.

We have so far no official reports of this working properly then we have an .exe that was checked and it's *clean*.
If you want push your luck and end messing up your PSN account, well it's your call not mine. (not sound like a d0uche) but it's better for you to test it on another PS3 (if you own a second one) than in the one where you have all your purchased games, etc.
