XMB what is that? i know to do that folder, but where i need to find the firmware on the ps3 and revert how i do the recovery mode?

what if i updated my ps3 via internet(to 4.21 [OFW?]), then i downloaded and installed some "jailbreak" from a password-protected .rar archive that didn't made "install package files" available and when i go to "system update ->update via storage media", with the file from this topic, says "no applicable update data was found"??

tfhooker73? I ****ing love you man! (all the homo) I installed GlitchyJoey's dodgy fake jailbreak **** whatever it was and I was worried that there would never be a way to get rid of it. Until I found this beautiful thread. Your 4.23 Reverter did the perfect job, thank you man. I really mean it! Now I can actually update my games and go onto the PSN store to download. <3

im trying to use this reverter but everytime i go into recovery mode and select system update the ps3 locks up and i got to start all over...wont let me update... anyone know why???
************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* k got into the system update section of recovery mode. i put the usb drive in hit select and start and it says checking... then says no applicable update data was found... connect storage media that contains update data of version 4.23 or later. i have the file in the ps3/update folder and it just wont work...it cant find the file...any ideas? |
