ERMMM... same way! Look in the game folder (not the fix folder) for the same named file and edit its name to common.sdat.bak then put the cracked one in there?

Note pad can edit a param.sfo, aldostools does it too.

I have downloaded a couple so far that are .rar format. extract them with winrar and get a pkg file. I have downloaded 7-zip because i heard it will extract files from pkg. But I am getting an error when extracting "cannot open file as archive". I get this message if i choose open,. extract, extract here, etc, etc etc. One game in particular I am trying to get a patch for is MW2. All I can find is pkg files for it. anyone know what would cause this issue and how to get around it?

Hi all I have 4.21 OFW now,do I need to downgrade to 3.55 OFW first or do I just follow part 1 instructions and that will do it for me ??????????

Probably a stupid question but 4.21+ can't be downgraded and it must be 4.20 or lower right?

If I were to buy the NHL 2013 bundle (which just came out today) it would probably have an unhackable firmware. Anyone know how up to date the firmwares are with the newly shipped machines?

Also can you still play the original discs with this hack? Or you need run the backup?

Newer games can't be run on this? And there's no real ETA on when newer firmware be hacked?

You do not extract the pkg, you install the pkg on your PS3.

You need to be on 3.55 in order to jailbreak.

Use the link in my sig for MINVERCHECK to find out if your ps3 is capable of being downgraded to 3.55 or lower. If it CAN you will need a hardware flasher, there is not software downgrade. If MINVERCHECK says it cant go lower than 3.56 you are screwed.

4.21 can be downgraded with A hardware flasher provided your PS3 is capable. Buying a new ps3 pretty much means your PS3 will not be capable.

Check my sig for the link to SKU's, there is no way to hack the latest PS3's (3k series) and there is not ETA on a new jailbreak.

Hello Itskamel. I am a newbie noobie, so its nice to meet you.
I have read most threads, evaluated etc, and every time im learning something new.
So i would like another opinion such as yours or someone elses.
I have the CECHExx 80gb, am on 4.21 and (tired of updating lol) dont want to update to 4.25.
Now do i 100% require an E3 flasher to downgrade, or is there an easier way??
