It seems that this pkg only works for CEX Ps3´s : (
But I think going into PSN with a Dex Console is dangerous because Sony will regonize that your ps3 has a debug Target ID and will kick as s.

I've tried it, and gave me that message that I need to update. So I unselfed the vsh.self on SPOOFED folder, edit the vsh.elf with a hex editor, put the 4.25 passphrase, rebuild it as a self, then put on a flash drive and copied to the SPOOFED folder on my PS3.

Guess what happened? It didn't even boot. I had to reinstall the Kmeaw firmware through recovery mode. I don't advice anyone to try what I did, just wait for someone else to build a proper working PKG with the 4.25 passphrase.

Hi,

this is my first post, i really do hope i can help out a few people to "enjoy" psn.

So here is what i did as exactly as i can recall:

- I am on 3.55 KMEAW
- PS3 is 60GB Fatlady CECH (Custom Design btw)
- until today i used a really old spoof (4.11 rebug)

First i downloaded this and threw it on my pendrive.

Then i went to my PS3 and first i DEACTIVATED 4.11 spoof. Didn´t touch anything while process was beeing done, then console rebootet itself.

Then i installed the above pkg (the spoofer from this thread).

Tried psn - no luck.

So i tried the last f u c k PSn release, installed it EXACTLY the way it is explained.

Exchangeing the .cert and stuff.

After i had finished this i tried PSN and guess what... still no luck, error 80710101.

****psn gave me just a couple of lines and closed itself again.

was about to put all hopes aside, so i tried to figure out what the error could be.

i came to realize that (pretty simple btw) the ports has been blocked from a program.

terminated this program and guess what... i´m online .

My advise is to check and doublecheck that ports 80 AND 443 are not beeing blocked by ANY program, otherwise your ps3 won´t connect to your computer.

No because it s like that the cat and his tale: DEX can not have PSN but they can be banned. Or what was said at least.
For the possible ban from Sony, it s not like they will really mind and there are a lot of more way for Sony to know your FW is not ofw/ none legit games. It s more likely the game publisher who will ban if you use cheat...for Sony ban you, you need to be really bad user.
