hey, i'm afraid these 3 are all bad, each one is different, the last one all FF's
really bad dumps, first thing could be that clone giving "bad dumps" each time, or with real e3 flasher pls check ur CLIP, it's not fitted completly

for the "wrong ps3" error use/update the flasher with the "2011-28-10 samsung update.bin" -- MD5: 8d1a10f45049b5dc1223d6008ed238dd

Thanks for checking, had a feeling they were quite bad ! Could you please give me the link for that update file, been searching but it's not even available on the e3 site ne more ! I'm quite sure it's not a clone.

hey, they're even worse..u sure it aint a clone, not that i have expierence with the clone

the backups have a weird pattern each one, the same values repeating itself, i have never seen such backups even bad ones with E3, but since u are sure its a real one, then it is a real bad connection/clean legs with alcohol/broke?!

did u reclip between this batch and the first 3? anyway do not flash anything back and here's the samsung multiple ps3's bin

Hey man, thanks a lot, I did reseat the clip inbetween dumps yes, i am seeing a little hope with this samsung update, managed to update and backup but still got a dump with errors on it when i check with e3 nor dump checker but i'd still like your opinion if you'd please ! I've uploaded the log file too.

https://rapidshare.com/files/212625557/bkpps3.bin
https://rapidshare.com/files/3788328397/e3flasher.log

Thanks.
PS. I was also just wondering, first off i'm bit technologically sound but not really my field of expertise or anything, anyway what I was wondering is that basically we have to flash the nor since it keeps a backup of the state of the FW which is on the HDD, now since I never performed the downgrade process these files of the FW should still be on the HDD right ??? I'm just using logic now and wondering if there was anyway to backup a dump off the HDD ?? Just a thought, please clear my doubt if you can.

Don't use E3 nor dump checker .You will always getting error. Extract your dump with flowrebuilder and check the dump content

Thanks for that info nzie, i'm getting errors even when i'm attempting to extract, is it common to get bad dumps, i've backed up atleast 5 times every single 1 having errors, is that a bad sign or can I still try getting more dumps ??

I've checked my dumps in HxD, they are terrible, wish i knew what the script meant, whats the cause of the bad dumps ?? Is it the clip or the data is corrupted somehow on my nor flash, what ?? I'm quite confused at the moment, why won't this give me a good dump, does any1 suggest anythin or give me some reasons just to satisfy my curiosity ?? Can i keep tryin with the possibility of gettin a good1 ?? My main question; is it common to get bad dumps consecutively ??? please clear my doubts !!

I try extract the dump you attached and it gives error. Seems like your dump is bad. Reseat the clip well and make more backups.

about ur FW question, 90% is stored on the HDD the other 10% on the NOR(2xcoreos)
u can't make a backup of the HDD and expect to have a backup, well yes of ur files etc but not an backup of ur bios/flash/norchip, having a good backup of the NOR can fix the ps3 anytime, the firmware files/coreos on the NOR chip also keeps track of wich one is installed atm(ros0/1 folder) so u can low level format the hdd anytime and when putting it in it ask for a hdd format and asks/re-install the previous firmware for that it checks the NOR coreos files, or something like that lol

anyway, this last dump is another real bad one, all FF's, the first batch u had there had a close to "good" dump!!, only at the end of the file to many FF's and to little 00's

it's the clip for sure, take ur time and press it gently on the nor, if u can see a small space underneath it it's not fitted all the way, yes it may look good it isn't

then put something on top and tape it down very good cuse when u re-assamble it it tends to get loose from the pins a u can see in ur backups

now tell to urself...i'm gonna fix the sucker once and for all...have fun

The coreos files is what I was kinda logically thinking would be on the HDD that had the firmware too, but yeah come to think of it, at this stage with no signal, no hdd activity it's practically impossible to get anythin off that HDD !

My ps had be disassembled and open for the last 4 days or more ! I do'nt wanna reassemble it knowing this chip is gonna crap out on me while gettin the dump ! Does it mean something if all the dumps i'm getting now start with like a hundred lines of FFs ?? Or is it just that damn clip again !!? I don't suppose i can solder it eh !!?

It started out as fun now it's just depressing !!
