That's why I only use it when I'm browsing sites I don't trust (i.e. pron), of course, you can get a virus from pretty much anywhere if the stars align correctly. I would wipe the HDD, but its a laptop & Win 7 came pre installed meaning I would lose the OS without anyway to reinstall. The laptop is brand new, arrived yesterday.

And you didn't back it up before using it knowing you didn't have a reinstall to the OS?

you can get a copy of w7 from the web, the serial number should be printed on the laptop's back (or you can use a program like aida64 to get it)... the only thing you can lost is the unbacked up data :P

Try this:
Find out what version of windows you have and what bit it is, download a legal copy of you OS from digialriver and install using the windows key found on the stick located on the bottom of your laptop.

@Rated-R Superstar WAIT WAIT WAIT! SLOW THE EFF DOWN DO NOT WIPE YOUR DRIVE. Jeez, it's a bit of malware, I've run into Babylone once or twice on my PC and removed it easy.
