Have fun sending back your console to Sony then cause its almost impossible to block a hardware downgrade.

There is even a way on XBOX 360 to downgrade for f*ck sake which they definitely can't block.

It's not impossible to block a hardware downgrade because when you downgrade, it's not just the nands that get affected. This is not a 360, I don't know why people always compare the two systems. One doesn't have a syscon - which is the important thing here. I know what I'm talking about. For the PS3 it's almost impossible for syscon to /not/ get updated. Edit: Why else do you think we have to keep tabs on if the latest firmware can be downgraded or not? Last edited by master737373; 09-17-2012 at 10:34 AM. |

Trust me, Sony can block hardware downgrades easily if they wanted to. They haven't released a syscon update in a while, but they have the power. Edit: Just read up on the ps3devwiki. It explains it. Last edited by master737373; 09-17-2012 at 10:53 AM. |

they didn't block a hardware downgrade till this day.. people have downgraded for over 2 years, if they could block it, they did. It doesn't even make sense to not block it, if they could.

Well, Sony just can't get in to our PS3's and change our motherboards and things etc. They can only make changes to operating system files. Add stuff, remove stuff, fix things and etc.
Thank you. |

Dude, hardware flashing isn't a hardware fail. So there's nothing hardware-wise that Sony has to do. Hardware flashing is syscon-based. They can do whatever they want to syscon with a firmware update. Red up on syscon and hardware downgrading. I'm knowledgable in that field.
