can't tell for sure, after checking each backup, the first from the batch starts good! FII header - asecure_loader etc.. but its crapping out later on, check statistics..verry bad

seems u have a "soft" brick already, u have restored anything already??

only thing is keep trying to get clip on good, we can talk about it all day put that sucker on it, if ur not re-assambling it maybe press on it with finger, or just put it on good, tape it down with sticky transparant tape, some "floor protectors" on it!! and gently screw it together, u feel a bit pressure on the NOR part, that's good, make sure it can work a little like foam, coins aint moving altough they also work, many ways to keep the sucker down

can't help u more, u can post backups here for checking if u like
goodluck on fix

Could you check this 1 and tell me if it's a "perfect" dump, i opened up a friends slim , installed the flasher, backed up and this is the first dump i got, byte reversing and extracting without errors, the hex variations mentioned on ps3devwiki are a pretty good match, wanted another opinion, i know i have to make more dumps and compare to double and triple check to make sure it's a perfect backup.

I wanted to check if there was anything wrong with the clip or the flatcable, since i read that it could be a possiblity that its causing me to get a lotta FFs in my dumps, if you can confirm that this is a good dump then i can rule out the damage to hardware.

Thanks again.

He never knew what hit him !! Though after opening it up asked him if he wanted to downgrade, agreed so I attempted a downgrade on his ps, bricked it , then unbricked it using the guide prohack had kindly posted and voila!, downgraded to 3.55 OHH YEAH !!, by the way why is that thread closed ??

My friend has the cech2504b and i got an older 2004b slim, the nor chip is placed differently but i can confirm its just the damn 2004b that is a big pain in the ass, been playin on my friends ps since last night, dreading going back to work on mine !! Will play for sometime before going back to the frustrating thing !!

I had forgotten to post the link of my friends backup but I did edit it in there, can't you see it ?? Although since the unbrick was good I guess means the backup was good too!!

Edit; Im sucha a fool I didn't read all the pages after that post, I just switched on my friends ps and just doesn't stay on, not even for like a second, has to be unplugged from the mains to get it back into standby !! Please don't tell me this is a perma-brick !! I got my answers to why the thread is closed too.

Ok somehow i thought it was the PSU so i switched it with mine and it's back on and stayin on, kinda freakin scared now, is it going to mess up my PSU too, or maybe i damaged the PSU when disassembling somehow, but then how did it work for so long yesterday, really confused :S !

lol

dont use someone elses stuff for ur testing man atleast the dump is valid, the other part..no clue really..re-check every cable/connection

Code:
0B --0B
CECH-25xx (JSD-001) with 3.56 from factory - datecode 0D
CECH-25xx (JTP-001) with 3.56 from factory - datecode 1A
E9 60 0E 92 2F570 2F 53 2F 53
and for the cech2004, yup the e3clip needs to be trimmed down a little on the sides, that's all to get good fit, agreed on the b*tch part, it took me whole day on 2004b first time..

I solved the ps going off in less than a second and this could be quite valuable info to some; while puttin on the lid to close it up I fastened the screws considerably tight, this somehow was causing the ps to switch off in less than a second after switching it on, the ps works like a charm now, didn't need to reflash or anything, I noticed this cause when I was taking the lid off and switchin it on it was working fine, dunno if there is some defense mechanisms on puttin the screws on too tight, but problem solved !!

In regards to the method i used of pro.hacks guide, I dunno how it worked but it did, no problems since my last post, backed up my BDs, got fixes for them, no hiccups whatsoever , i'm quite relieved i won't have to shell out dough to buy my friend another 1 !!

Hello to all. This is my first post. I bricked my ps3 80 gb model CECH L 04 while trying to flash downgrade bin. The e3_downgrade.bin is from the "e3 flashing program folder". I got error 10001111 and after I turnet of my konsole i was not able to turn it back on. 3 beeps and blinking red light. My questions are what kind of wire should I use to connect the two poinst (one on the e3 flasher ribbon and the one on the motherboard). Could I uppload my bios so somebody checks it ? Sorry for my bad English. I really hope that you can help me.

Thanks in advance

Go ahead and upload your dump. There is a list of errors for the e3 flasher on ps3devwiki under hardware flasher e3. That would tell you your error.
