Help this Noob with 4.25 please.
First off, I'm a complete noob at Jailbreaking PS3. I just updated my PS3 to 4.25 yesterday, and decided later that night I wanted to try and jailbreak it. After downloading a couple files and saving them to a thumb drive and updating the PS3 from the thumb drive without success, I did more research. First I understand that I have to downgrade to 3.55. Then I see where some people say its impossible to downgrade and jailbreak a PS3 with 4.25 without buying a chip and tearing apart the system and putting it in. I searched the forums here and didn't really find what I was looking for on here, can someone shed some light on my situation please? If it matters, I have the old school 20GB PS3. Thanks

CECHB. It has 001 and 002, but my serial number is CECHB01. The only thing that looked different was the FW version that came stock. I'm trying to not tear it apart and mod it.

To get back to 3.55 and play backups/etc.
