Question Jailbreaking.. So many choices! (Need opinions!)

Hello all I just had a quick question about jailbreaking my CECHA01.
You see it's not too average now-a-days but my PS3 is special, what makes it special you ask? The fact that it had been sitting in the box for almost 6 years up until I gave in and broke the seal last night.
Video for the unboxing here: CECHA01 PS3 Unboxing September 16th 2012 (BRAND NEW!) - YouTube

Sealed in the box for almost 6 years!?!? I know, right?
Why open it now? Well I was trying to sell it and the more offers I got for it, the more I had already begun to miss it. So I just said screw it and cracked it open.

Anyways, back to my original question. What direction should I go with jailbreaking this beast? It's currently on Firmware version 1.10. What would be my best choice?

Amazing story. 3.55 cfw of your choosing. Get the files from ps3devwiki, because they are trusted. Stay the hell away from YouTube. If you want Linux or otheros then you will want a lower firmware. That isn't my forte so maybe someone else can help with that.

He could use 3.15 for native OtherOS Or he can do the OtherOS++ for 3.55 But it is complex, Not for a newb.

Is there any advantage to having linux on my PS3? I mean, I have 3 computers so I have the whole computer option. But does linux make the PS3 itself better in one way or another?

Does that run on 3.6? I've done firmware on slims so I know I will have to upgrade the ps3's original firmware.

No it isn't firmware 3.6, it is rogero version 3.6 like the last rogero was version 3.5. Do not update past 3.55 or you will loose jailbreak capability.

That is what I wanted to verify. Didn't want to accidentally go to high.
Does Rogero's update the firmware or will I have to do it myself?
Also, how high can I spoof?

If you download rogero v3.6 from ps3devwiki, it already has a built in 4.25 spoofer. It updates the firmware you are on to a 3.55 cfw (custom firmware). Download rogero v3.6 and rename the file to PS3UPDAT.PUP and put it in a folder called UPDATE and put that folder in a folder called PS3 and put it in the USB port closest to the disc drive and go to update and choose update via media storage. Make sure no discs are in the drive first and go ahead and turn off the Internet connection aswell.
