Well, it turns out the "original" drive, was not so original. It didn't have a laser in it when I got it and it wouldn't do anything, so I don't think it was ever remarried to the board. It has be drive of bmd 004 which according to ps3devwiki, that is from a chechH01

Well, I can confirm firsthand that a CECHA drive will remarry perfectly into a CECHG. If you get the pink NG every time, try the original leaked remarry files, including the 2.30 PUP. I could never get the 3.55 one to work, and the original one didn't restore BD playback by attempting to play a movie while in FSM. Just keep in mind that you'll probably/possibly lose BD playback. But if the board it came with isn't the original, BD playback is vanishingly improbable for you anyway (you could always try putting every single released BD movie CRL/HRL in dev_flash3, one at a time, then checking if movie playback works again)

Yeah, my PS3s are on DEX now, so I don't care about BDMV. I have a standalone BD player, and, besides, I don't watch blurays. Optical media is so 2000s.

well...that sucks. Thank you for your time anyway. I plan on selling it on here anyway, because I already have more 3.55 consoles than i need. I will more than likely just leave it the way it is and let whoever buys it play with it. But now can i get out of fsm? Since i tried to remarry, wont leaving fsm definetly prevent blue ray playback? Or no since it never sucessfully did it?

Just use Lv2diag.self file #2 in USB to exit FSM. No, it won't make a difference with BD playback.

Well I finally got mine working today. Remarry would not work for me on 3.50 or 3.55 so I downgraded using the 3.41 modded pup and then to 3.15.

Once on 3.15 I used the 2.42 fw pup as my drive init pup to remarry (using the 3.15 remarry files of course). Worked like a charm! Played a bluray movie after remarry then took it out of FSM. Everything is working well now.

Bigbones you might wanna try downgrade to 3.15 and remarry using a low version pup. Good luck, hope you get it fixed.

@Vallachia as justthatdude said, I got it to work. I couldn't get it to work on 3.50, but 3.55 worked like a charm. Thansk anyways for the reply. Up for sale in USA if anyone knows anyone looking. Thanks @JustThatDude for pushing it for me.
