Help with Skyrim save!!

Hi
I downloaded a Skyrim save file from the internet and copied it to my FAT32 USB HDD in the folder PS3/SAVEDATA/ and i copied it to my PS3 from the XMB but when i opened the game and loaded the save it says that the save file doesn't belong to me and the ability to save and trophies will be disabled . So i Googled about it and i found that i need to assign my account ID to the save's PARAM.SFO from my PARAM.SFO . So i took my Skyrim save copied the account ID from my PARAM.SFO and replaced the one from the save I've downloaded with the one from my save using Aldostools PARAM.SFO Editor ( BTW thanks for the awesome work ) . I copied the new save to my FAT32 USB HDD and went to the XMB on my PS3 to copy it but when i try to copy it it says "The data is corrupt" so i tried to copy it to my PS3 using MM file manager but when i run the game it doesn't even see the save file . I've ran out of ideas and IDK what to do . Please help and thanks!

There are number of ways to do this.

1. Partial re-sign - You need to resign your saves via HEX editor of .sfo files. There are 2 places where you need to replace your console ID. You also need to match your PS3's account ID number. Once you have done that, transfer via MM. Never via XMB. If the game is design to generate a new save, when you start the game, it might say that your save data is corrupted. The game might try to generate a new save using your existing data. Now there might be a save on your XMB which states corrupted. You can delete. If the game is design not to generate a new save, Example MVC3, the game will say save data is corrupted and it will not save at all.

2. True 100% re-sign - Use program like Game Genie for PS3 (Has a save resign function as a secondary feature) or Xploder. The program will decrypt/encrypt the saves using your profile. You can use XMB to transfer the saves. PS3 will read it as if it is your saves.

I hope this info helps.

This is because you must overwrite an existing save, then your game will see it.
