I think the fix for Fifa 11 was to download and install the latest update. That fixed career mode.

Download the update based on the BLES/BLUS game ID of your back up in mmCM, and search for the update packages through : http://yifan.lu/psn/

.. just make sure they dont contain 3.60+ eboots

Open multiman, find fifa 11, click triangle, then game settings and it should say it right there... or it'll be on the spine of the game case you ripped it from

Im currently downloading Metal Gear Solid HD Collection BLES-01419 Internal Only CFW 3.55 Fix.rar for which the fix is provided . the issue is the instructions are given for BLUS here are the instructions .

...................................................Read carefully!!!!................................................


1. Firstly to copy the Vib folder in the BLES01419 [Metal Gear Solid HD Collection] folder to \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MLG\data\

so after its moved you will have \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MLG\data\Vib

2. Replace "Param.sfo" file

3. Next Rename the BLES01419 folder in your GAME directory to BLUS30847

4. Now Rename the files within the folder now called BLUS30847

Like So:

\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\BOOTLOADER\bootloader_eu.psarc --> \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\BOOTLOADER\bootloader.psarc

\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MGS2\mgs2_eu.psarc --> \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MGS2\mgs2.psarc

\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MGS2\mgs2_misc_eu.psarc --> \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MGS2\mgs2_misc.psarc

\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MGS3\mgs3_eu.psarc --> \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MGS3\mgs3.psarc

\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MGS3\mgs3_misc_eu.psarc --> \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\MGS3\mgs3_misc.psarc

\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\ms0\EU --> \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\ms0\US

So you are removing the _eu parts of these files and changing the EU folder to a US one
5. Lastly Run the "Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Install.PKG" and start form multiman
6. Works on internal no bd mirror needed!!!

In the fix the files provided are
1)a pkg file where one see the details from a tool its BLUS format .
2) some VIB folder to be replaced in USRDIR .
3) a param.sfo file which is BLES format .

What to do ???

I am an EXTREME novice when it comes to jailbreaking my ps3.
I have never jailbroken it and i was wondering where i could get the most up to date and simple guide to do this process. Also would i be able to play newer games like Uncharted 3, Arkham City and LA Noire?

You are right here IN the most comprehensive thread about jailbreaking!

It's also a timeless solution here, so its never out of date!

All you need to know is what firmware version your PS3 is currently on (3.55 is required) and if your is over 3.55 whether your PS3 CAN be jailbroken/downgraded, by using tools (found in my signature) such as WMPDT355 or MINVERCHK.

If your PS3 is a 300X series you are out of luck, these can't be downgraded or jailbroken.
