@master737373 assuming they can, which is what you're defending, what selfs would they change to allow that possibility? if it was possible, they wouldn't make new consoles at factory, they would just make you update forcefully. if you can explain how, please do, because we don't know how.

Well, I Have thought if Sony releases update, that update you forcefully. I Mean, if they are going to do update where PS3 doesn't ask to update, but it updates your console every time, when you have internet connection available. Just like without prompt.

Yes. I just redid mine a few days ago and downgraded 4.25

yes, just use fckpsn v9 if its still working. I haven't checked it today.

Ummm, they use update manager which is run low level, which will give them access to your syscon. The factory updates is for other stuff. Nothing to do with downgrading except metldr.2.
