Because I preordered the progskeet 1.2 , and I still can order jtag programmer along with it and that will be much cheaper for me .

Bailey, for someone that has never solder or open´d a ps3 b4 would u recommend its worth trying if you follow everything and trying to do it perfect, or will it most likely fail in your opinion? since some randoms charge 170eu in order for them to install it and downgrade wich is kinda retarded.

the progskeet 1.0 & 1.1 needed the programmer to swap the bitstreems
ie
the progskeet came loaded with a bitstreem that allowed soldering direct to the board or using the clip for the NOR & directly soldering to the NAND

you updated the bitstreem so you could only use NAND clips

as the 1.2 doesnt use clips then i would assume there is only 1 itstreem and thats the one thats allready on the progskeet 1.2

you will still need the dev board so you can enter fsm on the ps3

unless anyone from progskeet says the 1.2 can be used as a dev board

all the dev boards need to be flashed

there are loads of them but i will try and link th where the files are for each (remind me in a few days if i havent uploaded)

try and get hold of an old pcb and practice soldering
it takes some time then all of a sudden you will get the hang of it erm or burn your fingers :P

but weigh up how much the parts will cost you + the time it will take you to learn to solder against the cost to get someone to do it for you

or if you have a NOR console then try the e3 as a downgrader atleast you can sell it back on if your really carefull with it and there is no soldering (dont attempt to use it as a dual boot as this locks it to your console)
