Just Make sure when u get 1 open it up and put better thermal paste as we all know $ony does not do a good job at doing souch a small part in their departments.

I have officially thrown in the towel with the Playstation. This is the silliest, pointless slimdown. Not a single reason to buy it. It was inadvertently opening as they did the unboxing? It would have been far more elegant to just have a poptop that was low profile and they still would have saved money. Sony has shot itself in the foot this generation. I really like my 60gb and my slim for different reasons, but I think I have decided to sit out the next generation until I know what I am getting for my money. No more early adoption. By the way, remember trying to clean the grated slots on the xbox? Horrible idea. Dust will be so hard to get out. Silly.

It's not that bad.
The sliding cover is a bit retro though, makes me feel like I should be loading a betamax cassette into it.

Everyone must remember that sony took a huge knock in profits with the ps3. So all this is, is an old fashioned business plan.
Make product extremely cheaper to manufacture + sell product at the same price as current gen ps3 slims = Much more profit (aka attempt to once and for all, make up for the profit losses that the ps3 suffered at launch) At launch sony was giving away ps3's for less money than it took them to manufacture so its kind of understandable from a business perspective...but damn. This adds a new meaning to cutting costs lol
