This JB stated that i cant use PSN online on the jailbroken device.
I havent fullly come to terms with it, so maybe some kind soul can shed some light upon this.

If i JB using this Tutorial, would i still be able to download a Cod 5 Patch and then Data Transfer it to my Current Ps3? And just use the JB one for Modding?

CFW users get access to PSN every now and then. It's not a standard feature of jailbreaking a PS3, it relies on PSN/SEN passphrases being cracked or leaked.

At the moment we have PSN access with the latest 4.25 spoofs, so you can play your COD online.... but for how long? (... who knows..a week or two probably)

The thing is, i dont mind if my JB 3.55 Ps3 can't go online, aslong as i can download a patch to it and transfer the patch to my 4.25 and play online. Is this possible with this Tutorials downloads?

Actually, i think i understand, So CFW users can't go online anyway because it needs updating?

And out of curiosity, is this a good tutorial to use to JB my ps3 if i want to Mod Cod 5 ,

Hello fellow modding comrade.

I believe this is the best tutorial on the world wide web as of September 2012 to break jail.
And yes, to mod World At War, you will 100% require 2 PS's, which i am going to do similarly in a couple of weeks when the new V1.2 Progskeet is unveiled out of the raffle.
Unless obviously you feel like being dastardly, and relying on codes such as ****PSN.

So in dastardly general, i give the big thumbs up to how you are approaching it.

hey, good day peeps. is't possible to copy backed up games (ripped with multiman) from my internal HDD to an external HDD so i can run them on my new system without using the complete backup feature...need to copy only games not everything...

Yes.

Either open mmCM, click triangle on your game, click copy, click the external drive, or open mmCM, go to mmOS, find the game backup in dev_hdd0/games (or wherever), click copy, go to your external HDD, click paste.

Easy.

iam sorry i need a bit of help
my ps3 was jail broken and was formerly running on 3.72
accidently was upgraded to 4.25
my multiman won't work and my 2 folders app installation pack and app home dissapeared.
i tried 3.55 version but it stops at 72 % and says file corrupted
is therea method some say i should downgrade it.
i don't have an E flasher
all i have is an external HDD ps3 120gb
i tried looking for some sites for 4.25 jail breaker all they want is surveys after i downloaded 194mbs of data the surveys are all not working and require a password.
i am willing to donate if you are to help me.
on my HDD i have about 96 games which iam willing to share for free.
plz help
in order to fix this i have to travel 500 miles to thailand and get it fixed.
if there is a solution online iam happily willing to pay.

Based on all the info the Hoch has read on reliable sources here, I'd say you 100% will now need an E3 flasher (if your PS is NOR) or Progskeet (if PS is NAND) to further downgrade or upgrade.
It seems unfortunate you accidentally upgraded, you could have updated to a higher spoofer to prevent that occuring. (4.25 is the latest)

Also, the Hoch doesn't quite understand what you mean by a 4.25 break jailer??? you can only break jail through OFW 3.55 or below and CFW (rogero, kmaew etc) then after. There has been no break through yet for anything above that. Only reliable sources are this site, nexgen site, and obviously get the reliable files through the dev wiki.

(By the way is your PS now not bricked?? i have timbuck two on that it most probably is.) - Can you play any disc games on it?

So in dastardly general, Hochums advice is to purchase E3/Prog to downgrade in the future on future PS's, ensure the spoofer is always updated and try not to fill any unreliable surveys in for "4.25 OFW breakjails" (lol).
