I guess the OS is only capable of handling one 'SATA' device/partition, let's not forget it has to be BC with older games that require a 'fixed' drive..

The 12GB flash is usable, unless you plug in a dedicated HDD.

What a minute. I just realise that you can only use a "Dedicated HDD (250GB) for PlayStation 3 (with attachment) (CECH-ZHD1)" So you can't use your own 2.5'' HDD?

If that is true, this is crazy.

that also means that it maybe isn't possible to replace the HDD of the other models... We'll see when they are actually released. It's also possible that the other models ship with the specified holder, but the 12GB doesn't.

flash memory as in ... replacing hdd space ? or flash memory as in ram ?

if it's to replace the hdd it seems useless except as a money grab to have someone signed up for ps+ for life.
and yes i do realise the ps3 HDD can be upgraded.
