I'm going to tell you all WHY THERE IS NO EXPLOIT YET. A team, failoverflow, worked so hard to deliver whats so called " An Exploit" and then in few months a jerk stole their work, and ruined it ... After that, people started worshiping that jerk... Imagine if you had worked/contributed in the developing of the exploit, would you hack the device again? The answer most definitely is NO, then, a new developer , kakarotoks, donated his time and efforts to learn and hack the system, if the team needed three years to hack the system; also, this team has a great hacking experience, when do you expect from kakarotoks to exploit/hijack the system ?! The answer is more than two years from now... at best.

I didn't contribute to the scene or harm it, but, what I'm pointing at is that THE COMMUNITY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS DISASTER.

Dude, that is completely wrong. For one, failoverflow didn't do much. They found how to calculate private keys. Whoopdie doo. They created a very crude nor flasher. Whoooo. They thought they did something phenomenal, but they were just given too much hype, and don't even get me started on kaka.

I know something will come of this. How do I know? My CFW PS3 died and I got rid of it right before every new game started getting 3.55 patches. So the other day I bought another exploitable PS3 to downgrade when I'm tired of PSN. Then this news appears. With my luck, there will be no more need to downgrade within a week. You might as well just buy the new model now ;p

Because there are people here that they won't lose the opportunity to post biased stuff constantly and without getting punished for it, that's why. They will act they know everything, which may be partialy true, but use their knowledge against the common good of the community.
They name people worthless yet their works till to date are all based over and over to these people's "worthless" works. I don't say that you should love them or bow them but if you don't like them ignore them, spreading hate against the starters of a scene, even if they are really as bad as you say, at the time we use their tool till to date it's a bit retarded or even better smelling fishy what's the reason you're doing it.

They grandstanded how stupid Sony was and that they'd hacked the system completely.

They used both Geohot's work and the PS3 JB dongle, made a tiny bit of (inevitable) progress, then ****ed off into the sunset saying "our work is complete".
