cex to dex tutorial help plz

im using this tutorial www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=40292.
I'm on step 3 and ive followed it through but when i put the usb into my computer i can't find the "Lv2diag_exit.self". So i don't know what to do now. Can someone help me please and thanks.

You need to show hidden files before it will show up (from the guide (steps 3.5, 3.6 & 3.7)):

UPDATE: If you use Windows, and you cannot see the flash dump on your USB Storage Device.

* Click on the windows explorer menu "Tools -> Folder Options".
* On the new window click the top Tab "View".
* Select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives".
* Un-ckeck "Hide protected Operative System files".
* Click "OK".

I did all that i can see the backuprflash.bin

Sorry, just checked the tut.

The Lv2diag_exit.self should be on your USB from Step 2?

hmm that's weird i forgot to check if it was there but it isnt in the folder anymore

What should i do then? Should i just keep going through the steps and maybe look for a download of that lvl2diag_ext?

Did you rename it to "Lv2diag.self"?
It should be the ONLY thing on the USB when you put it in the PS3
