why would you want to get off dex? 3.55dex (itskamels' at least) it's equal to the cex version. plus, you can upgrade/downgrade whenever you want. i only see advantages.

no dump file at all, flashdex.bin?
this is how u can fix it (tested&working)
basically do the "manual cex2dex" in reverse dex2cex, if done correct the final result is an identical flashfile as original "flashcex.bin"


u can make new dump on ofw355 using dumpflash.pkg and take that one and convert it dex2cex, if u like post the dump made here and i'll convert it

maybe there's an easier way, c2d+edited targetid only isn't working, omac isn't correct, anyway manual way works fine if u have no flashcex backup

sure, its late already on my end anyway provide these 3 things

dump ofw355dex
eid_root_key
original cex targetid
e.g: mine is "85" - Retail Europe

for creating the original cexflash, if u dont have the root_key
run eEID_RKDumper.pkg" on 355 p/p, that should get it
the dump prefered from ofw355, the dump_flash pkg should work on it if i remember correctly
post/pm files and i'll fix it back to valid cex

my advice is if u havent got a hardware flasher then dont convert back to cex special when u got no back up . in the end its up to u what u do just give my advice . im on dex and well there is no reason at all for me to even think about going back to 3.55 cfw . dex is better the cex cfw !!


why do u wanna convert from dex to cfw 3.55 ?
3.55 dex with peek and poke is the same as cex cfw apart from dex 3.55 with P&P has got more options than 3.55 cfw plus dex u can go up and down fw .

and none of these working
if u have some advice how to downgrade to kneaw or to play

backup is ok, altough ros0 = 5,23MB must be >cex ofw/cfw355 size), and dex355 is 5,28MB(ros1), anyway is good

and do u mean ps3 restarts with the eid_RK dumper.pkg? or just after running it kicks u back to XMB? have not tested to dump root_key from dex, but i guess 99% it can work..lemme know and i'l check it

with that we can make ur original flashcex..no problem anf for flashing why shouldn't it be safe(software wise) for multiman u'll need the eid part only, u can also use "preloader" for flashing the last one works fine! not tested multiman way...

not that i also see no reason to switch, it can be fixed if u like, just post the rootkey

how much that need??
region i am from europe so its 85 and when i changed to dex changed in 82 like i remember

and i check to see if saves the root key but it doesnt save
how much time is needed to rk dumper to save the key?

hey...nah also tested every way possible, can't seem to dump root_key, same black screen-reset required...tested that rebug..no luck
now i can't remember where it saved the root_key, was it if usb stick is inserted on the usbstick? or on hdd0\tmp\ ?
also if it saves on hdd0\tmp, no access again, also weird cuse sometimes it's no problem with "home" folder etc..

if really want back to cex, and u have not saved it somewhere?! the only way could be via linux way, that works on 355 for sure! to bad for eid_RKdumper.pkg, i had a feeling it could work...again if needed install linux or just stick to it
