^^ No, it only affects those PS3 owners on CFW. It's part of the AACS mechanism. Every player must be able to update and accept new keys when there are released. PS3 CFW can't do that. Nothing to do with Sony screwing people over.

Exactly. Even if Sony didn't include a PUP on your BD movie, it most likely wouldn't play because the lack of newer AACS keys on CFW.

A spoof did work in the past ,i know a few that used one & worked fine 6 months ago easy. Unless Sony did something with the newer BLURAY Disc's & can detect the spoof then i don't see why it would not work still using a spoof.

@wasdwasd If you do use a spoof please do post if it still works ...

Great success people.
I installed Rebug 4.11 spoofer and the movie now works.

I guess the Sony butts only put firmware 4.11 on their disc and not any new AACS keys.

You can have more infos about the structure for hybrid disc and reproduce it (so you can add theme/movie/pkg on your game/homebrew.

|--- PARAM.SFO <--- CATEGORY (DM)

After "digest" the different structures you can enjoy a lot playing with them.
(the cheat pkg with lot of pkg was in that specific hybrid type)

I usually buy my BDs, rip them and put them in the bookshelf. I must admit I prefer to have the m2ts file on the "internal HDD" of my PS3 opposed to on an optical media.
