hey man, here the way worked on my end

1)install a 355 peek/poke mfw (euss ps3mfw builder)
2)install rebugs lv2_loader.pkg
3)install multiman in this order:
mmCM ver 04.00.01 BASE (20120126)
multiMAN ver 04.01.00 DEX UPD MOD (20120204)
multiMAN_04.04.03

4)run multiman and enable write to dev_flash
5)ftp into ps3
6)ftp the kmeaw lv2_kernel.self into "dev_blind" folder,  in the root of that folder and close ftp
7)disable write access dev_flash/multiman and exit multiman
8)install eEID_RKDumper.pkg
9)run lv2_loader.pkg (must triple beep!), it reboots back into xmb
10 finally run "eEID_RKDumper.pkg" (must triple beep), the ps3 reboots again after that..nvm the "system hasn't shutdown correctly" hit OK
ftp into ps3
get key from hdd0\tmp\
:)

release check: release
bootmode: release

stay in multiman and ftp into dev_blind,top folder

i am talking no bull****, as i had a syscon panic (ylod) when i flashed dumpflash backup, but if it works fine for you, your luck and my loss i would say
and besides, why installing x apps if multiman can do it the same and even faster than the others

You could start by requesting a username change

for Multiman(credits to original creator)

Press [SELECT] + [START] to go to mmOS, press [CIRCLE] on ANY file and “Open in Hex”
Press [SELECT] to switch to LV2 memory
Then press [START] to dump
It will ask if you want to dump LV2, then LV1 just press [NO]
Third question is about the flash, press [YES]
You'll find the dump in /dev_usb000
It will look similar to 20120717-185431-FLASH-NOR-FW3.55.NORBIN
