I need to know how to UNLOCK a iphone 3g w/Baseband 05.15 / Bootloader 06.04.. i'm not getting any service

Tot unlock it youl probley have to jailbreak it , using the downgrade to iPad baseband then use coda get the ultrasn0w repo and down load ultra snow , but be careful check the details of your model , use google it's easy to find

Suprised you haven't upgraded to a 4 or 4s.

Anyhow, an untethered Breakjail, automatically unlocks your 3g, as long as you do it correctly:

5.1.1 = Absinth (v2) (My reccomendation)
5.0.1 = RedSnow (v0.9.6+)

Those are the only 2 firmware you can be on, on your phone in order to have an untethered (unlocked and brokenjailed) successful breakjail.

Hope i have been of some successful 'service'. lol. :-p

update to 4.2.1.....thats the last update for the 3g iphone
jailbreak with redsnow 0.9.6b1-0.9.6rc19
upgrade to the 6.15.00 ipad baseband
unlock with ultrasnow....software downloaded with cydia..(this is installed when you jailbreak it)

If you want, you can downgrade the baseband but you really dont have to. (Downgrading to an earlier baseband that is unlockable with ultrasnow)
The downgrading was developed for people that used the ipad baseband on their 3gs's and lost thier gps's.(ipads dont have gps but neither does the 3g so the downgrade is really pointless but your choice....

This is a gerenalized method...use google for better instructions

I see you said 5.15.04. This is the basband for 4.2.1 so you dont need to do the step...

Yes so download the Redsnow v0.9.6 as i said before, but for the 4.2.1 version basically. If you download Green poison RC5 instead of Redsnow, it will be tethered, and therefore not unlocked. Although you can manually process the unlock, by going into cydia after breakingjail, and searching for
Rocky Racoon 4.2.1.
