Can anyone enlighten me that why you need a game fix for dex firmware?(when the latest required firmware for games is 4.21 till now and DEX is on 4.21)

Yes, the package is the update. All official updates come in packages

You don´t need a fix if you have the original disc.
A DEX machine won´t launch a signed normal fself/EBOOT from HDD/USB. only from disc. Since we don´t have the keys, we can´t decrypt them.
A DEX machine will launch a Signed NPDRM Fself/Eboot from HDD.
The updates are NPDRM Eboots. so when you launch the game, it checks for an update and then launches the NPDRM eboot.
I´m not sure if this is 100% correct but I´ve been trying hard to learn and this is the conclusion I came to.
The part I´m not really sure about is that technically the BDEMU makes the game look like a disc so the normal signed eboot should run? but unfortunately, it doesn´t.

I don´t think they have an update yet so only from disc.

@ aries2k ... how do i know my machine is dex or cex ...? or the default is cex ... dude am really lost ... i been trying to understand dex and cex but didnt find a simple easy thread for a noob like me !!

all the ps3s that you buy from the stores are CEX.
CEX = retail consoles
DEX machines are the consoles that game developers use.
there was a method leaked not to long ago that allows to change CEX to DEX, that´s why you see alot of post about DEX now.

2 Part Question i have Played and Finished Darksiders II and Sleeping Dogs a Week ago (Before this Post)
now 1st Question i had Trouble Playing i did the Image Good and did the Fix too and the Game Launched Fine but Sometimes the Game Crashed and Please Wait Appears and go Back to XMB Screen !! and i had to Reboot my PS3 and the Hard Drive to Play again it Happened to me like 30 Times while Playing Both Games so if anyone Had this Issue and Fixed it pls let me know how
2nd Questions all the Games Fixes Above we Have to Follow the Same Method of getting the Original Copy of the Game Disc and Make an Image Using BDEMU Right ?
any Responses is Appreciated and if anyone Have a Good Torrent Site i can Download Games that is Tested Pls Provide

1. I think the problem lies with your hard disk and not the image itself...

3. Here comes the wierd question..dude dont ask for torrent sites or links in ps3 scene..though most of the people pirate stuff , youll find group of people jumping on you for asking...
