It's just a bad time, being in a recession and all; some devs came up with an exploit and decided to probably sell that info to one of the dongle makers.

The ones really to be angry about are the dongle buyers, if they didnt buy them the dongle makers wouldnt continue selling. And if this 4.21 cfw is real then either way they will still believe their $60 spent 1 year ago was still worth it as they were able to play the latest games then whilst everyone else has to wait.

I see no lines. I don't see "us vs anyone". I see a scene with different groups of people who are alike that communicate in small groups, IRC chatrooms, Wiki's and on the larger scale popular website forums. Most are more alike then they wish to admit and some are so blinded by their hate for their fellow man that you can barely have a civilized conversation with them and they use this anger to pursue their agenda's that have nothing to do with helping the scene grow or making it a better place. When did people forget about how fun a scene can be when you all work towards a common goal, respect eachother and your differences and instead of trying to pass the next car only to run into a car in front of it you could just be blowing off any steam you have from being in a group of people who love to play video games. What happened to that? Why must you use what little effort you have for hate? It takes a small weak man to do bad things, but it takes a much stronger one to admit they are wrong. There's no "sides" - there are just groups of people all over the place who are different, but come to the scene for a common goal. When did this get forgotten? Where you not even aware a scene could be a great place to be. Take a look at the Wii scene and contrast it with the PS3. I think you'll see that the unity and cooperation of sceners, developers and hackers produced one of the most open, versatile and "fun" environment to be in. The fruits that grew from that strong tree show in the quality and quantity of homebrew and exploits. I think the same could be said about the XBOX1 and NDS. Grow up and act like men otherwise things will continue to get worse - that is unless you do something about it that doesn't involve being a complete arse.

Imo that really depends why the guy gave the lumber away. Most likely he didn't gave it away because he just didn't need it but rather because there would be something usefull for him to.

If you see it this way then it would be wrong to use the open source info and make something and then not release it.

that sudden youtube video and this thread don't make me believe although i would like to. i think after trueblue *death* and lots of games' releases we got into another dead end, but it won't be as long as previous one. I tend to think that all resent CFW news are fake or someone tries to pass the desirable for reality, cause in the past devs told us about some break throughs but actually did nothing. Maybe this time they lie to themselves once again, or it's all a joke.

I don't really care if they are hiding something. We have plenty of games to last us until any new patches for games or new cfw is released.

Obviously this thread was made for Hax members to have a legitimate argument on "Perception vs Deception". I applaud everyone who posted on this thread trying to validate their opinion because in my eyes everyone here at Hax are willing to die for what they stand for from Dev to n00b.
