I am still wondering about dean.

He said this BEFORE the spill and the full official dongle reveal.

On the other hand I want to believe there is ANOTHER CFW in the works but dean also teamed up with Cobra Dongle makers so who knows....

But the conclusive thing, why would it say "Red Power" in the MM update if it was something else?

gosh that is just so strange i think he speaks a bit of truth in the sense that "there are a lot of people around who won't allow" meaning duplex nodrm etc....but why mention it in the changelog...something fishy going on...

it is hard for me to reason....dean deserves loot so i never blasted him for cobra remember the early days when there were like 24 different managers his was the best from early on and he stuck with it and now it is pretty much THE manager....

but my only thing always bothered me is he released a version touting ps2 iso loading which never worked and then a few months later we saw cobra dongle....though i can load ps2 iso with swap magic it doesn't always work well...

Obtaining patches and converting to DEX isn't a viable option for a lot of people who have CFW. Obtaining patches by "end-users" (those are below us "sceners" on the food chain) would be very difficult as they probably paid to have their PS3 flashed. While the CEX->DEX conversion process has been simplified it is still out of reach for the majority of sceners due to lack of understanding and even then getting newer games to boot is a pain.

I wouldn't mind shelling out some cash for a simply plug-n-play solution if it required a Dongle or not, but hopefully Rebug will prevent that from happening.

@jennys .. yeah I forgot theend-users. Any money says that if Rebug did release a CFW a week before this dongle was released that there would still be a lot of business for it


BTW multiMAN that supports DEX CFW 4.21 has been released


Edit: @carldenning yeah I thought the same thing with hybrid DEX & CEX.. after something I saw from the chinese team it seemed to cement that.
The next DEX FW will be 4.30
