Is it a hardware problem?-maybe not sure HDD is NTFS
Is it a software problem?- dont think so but it has been working befor
If it is a software problem, have you made sure that you have downloaded the latest version of this software?- yes
Are you running CFW?-yes
What CFW are you running?-rebug
Is your console bricked?-no
Have you ever downgraded your console with hardware flashers? (Teensy, ProgSkeet, E3 Flasher, etc...)- no
Have you tried searching the forum for someone experiencing the same problem before posting? briefly
Describe your problem: I have transfered my back up games to my HDD so i could free up some space on my internal to backup a blu ray movie (which didnt work but will try to fix at a later date) so when i went to put them back they are not playing it when i try to start them it just takes me back to the XMB. i did this before so that i could use the Eboot fix and it was working fine


What have you tried to do to resolve this issue yourself: i have tried using different MM versions and reinstalling BDEMU tried playing from Ex HDD and In HDD but no success.

External drives MUST be FAT32, never NTFS for it to work....

Make sure your external hard drive is formatted correctly like in the previous post.

Maybe there’s a virus in your external HDD ? … I use to have a virus in my external HDD and it gave me lots of errors playing games and loading them

nonsense.

A virus can't possibly cause that to happen on a PS3.

im not trying to play the games off the HDD just storing them on it and transferring over when wanting to use it. have been doing this for a few days now with no problem.
the only thing that i have done is tried to set up a home network so maybe i have changed some settings that i wasn't suppose to.
But i will try partitioning it and making that FAT32.

ok so just went to format my ex HDD but thought i would check it first. turns out it is already FAT32.
so im currently trying to copy a new game and see if i canget that to load.

i did however make some headway with one game."AC revelations" it will load the AC game that was installed that came with the disc but when i try to run revelations the screen stays black for a while then says that the disc might be dirty

any thoughts

went to redo them last night when i noticed that the PS3_GAME folders were all mixed up which must have happened during the transfer. i have been able to repair 1 game but im still having trouble whit AC REVELATION. could someone send me a screen shot of what files are supposed to be in what folders please. im also just getting a black screen after COD MW3 FIX AND PATCH
