No, he would not have. mm is free, even now, so there would be nothing to get upset about, even for those that feel entitled to have everything for free.

What irks us here most is that he could have said I needed the money and Cobra offered it to me. He didn't and he kept denying it even when confronted with facts.

Mm is a great piece of homebrew, it's just the owner turned into one of the big dicks of the scene, along with the drama queens Math and Geohot.

prob is ps3scene and xbox 360 scene has gone this way. My opinion is since gaming has gone so mainstream now to many people have latched onto it to make money. Plus these places like mediafire/usenet etc make it so everyone grabs everything and no one talks anymore.

I remember like 10+ years ago when i was a mod on an ftp forum it was so much better.
People set up personnal servers etc and everyone chatted bout everything

Just look at x-ecuter on xbox 1 they were top notch then comes xbox 360 and they turn into money grabbing turds

security gets tighter on every next gen console so people have to work harder at cracking it thus they want something back for all of their hard work.

That's not the problem. I wouldn't mind to pay for indie software - I did it in the past.
I use MM since the early releases he did on psx-scene. The problem is that he maintained it as open-source, and even created a git. There were a few programmers that help him, once that happened. Not to mention the translations.
He even told that PS2 iso was impossible. What do 'ya know... It looks like it works if you stick a dildo up your PSs' arse.

A very courageous and foolish act I have to say from a guy that pretty like the last thing that didn't got compromised by him is the PIN password of his credit/debit/bank card.
