I have a ps3 with a broken bluray drive. Will I still be able to play my backup games with multiman, without a disk in the bluray drive?

As long as the bd drive board works, and it is just the laser that doesn't work. Some games require a disc in the drive, so those you won't be able to unless the drive works.

I believe its the lens thats not working. Is there a list of games that do or do not work anywhere?

And how do I use bd emu?

As for bd emu, Im not sure because I haven't used it. Have you tried to open the disc drive up and clean the lens with denatured alcohol? I have done that it it fixed some I had problems with.

also FYI rogero CFW 3.5 has brokem BD issues. I think, although have not tried as of yet that 3.6 fixes that issue.

Thanks for the responces. I guess I could try to open it up and clean it out. It does accept and spin disks, it just doesnt recognize them. Im just not very tech savvy.

I think I have heard that rogero can boot games without a bluray drive, is that true?

No. Rogero can be installed without a blu ray drive attached.

You could convert to DEX and use the bd emu.

I thought that converting it to Dex had a high chance of bricking the system. Is that true?

Also, after looking I coudlnt find one. Is there a good noob totorial for converting to Dex?
