I'm running a 3.55 cfw console, a 3.41 dongle exploit console and have linux on the 3.55.
I'm very happy with what i have, they have helped me downgrade multiple consoles so i could sell them for more so no, I'm not disappointed with the scene

Im happy whit the ps3scene, i just think people say bad things about developers cuz they are on 4.xx ofw and what so much to have a cfw, but look to the other people that have a 3.55 cfw they have games, homebrew, emulators, and now we have a dex firmware(no need to more dongle) people on cfw are very happy, but imo people that are in ofw are ungrateful because they just want a cfw, he need to be more patience one day our day will come guys, theres no need to bash the great developers we have, they work for free!

One thing that im certain, is that this scene is the more strange on the consoles scenes, very strange, everyday are something fishy in the air, it's just what i think about this subject, oh and btw dude @fanboysarestupid don't open everyday a new thread about stupid things, im not saying this to offend you, but the threads you open the people certain are in there minds "Wtf is this ****?"

We shouldn't know about it. That's how it works in the others scenes and strangely the PS3 devs seems to leak information on releases like a nappy filled with a days urine. Strangely they don't seem to crap out the solids though, you know some undigested tasty kernels of code would be lovely.

I blame the developers (generally)...The punters are just the same as in all the other scenes (mindless morons licking scraps that are served and kissing any a-hole that farts, rimming it with all they've got)....Might make you cringe but hey that's the way it is.

I don't think he was directing the post at you, more generally at the scene as a whole.

There is no doubt, some developers in the scene are c*nts and some are awesome.
Just as:
There are some end users in the scene that are complete c*nts and some that are awesome.

What the good end users, the ones who aren't c*nts don't like, is to be mistreated by developers, especially by developers who they like or respect.

BTW @sandungas you are one of the good guys and there are other devs like you, who never engage in the drama, like @Ada Love Lace , @FreePlay , @euss , @samson , @condorstrike , @deroad and more, who just get on with things and don't cause or react to any drama, the scene love people like you(I know i do).

Its when it comes to Developers calling everyone names, that causes such animosity and hate.


Finally to answer the OP's question:
I f*cking love this scene and everyone in it, even if you are a c*nt, because everyone has their part in the scene, no matter how big or small, the csne itself does not disappoint me, the website wars, disappoint me, the True Blue/reDRM love disappoints me, but the scene as a whole is awesome

Only problem I have with the scene is that it is very small compared to the Wii and Xbox scene and it is getting smaller with the day because of the old (18+ months) CFW...

Same goes for the devs we have... Their number is also to small. That is the real problem to all drama we have...

There are good things happening for the scene, how come you are disappointed with anything? Are you a scener? Or a consumer appreciating whatever is thrown at you? Sceners has built new stuff, RSXGL is a nice library, people are starting to play around with it and eventually I hope there will be Amiga-style demos showing up, perhaps also new tools.

I’d say pirates care about pirate stuff.
Homebrewers cares about homebrew.

I'm by no means a dev but I started learning from liberty basic. Find yourself the trial online for free and open up the tutorial from the program. Its easy and fun and I know what you mean about the books most of them are quite confusing...this is the answer for absolute beginners.

Many will disagree with liberty basic and say it teaches you bad habits but start there and move onto python and so on...that's what I plan to do in the future. Havnt touched coding since January
