Not necessarily trolling mate.. He says at the beginning that he is talking about the past and the code lines have been copyrighted to the year 2007, a year after the PS3 launch. Ergo, the past.

That's why it was stated "Back to the past". It might have been copied on purpose to show that this can be used for something more.

Maybe some of the code has changed, has anyone compared it side by side with the code found in @homedog 's link?

what i read is that its for access to the PS3 hard disk.


Add a Disk Storage Driver for the PS3:
- Implemented as a block device driver with a dynamic major
- Disk names (and partitions) are of the format ps3d%c(%u)
- Uses software scatter-gather with a 64 KiB bounce buffer as the hypervisor
doesn't support scatter-gather

Include support for the PS3 Disk Storage.
