hi, ive been searching online for months trying to fix this and given up, please can someone point me in the right direction.
i have a backwards compatible ps3 with an unmarried logic board and i tried to jailbreak and now im stuck in an update loop can i get out of this and jailbreak the ps3 then downgrade the software so i can remarry the logic board. once this is done i just want a working ps3, im not interested in backup games as i have a decent collection i just want it to work again.

How did you try to jailbreak it? What firmware is it on now? Still 4.00? You are in an update loop because the update checks for a married blue ray drive board. If it doesn't have one, then it will give you am error and want you to fix the problem and re update. If you aren't on 3.55 or lower, you can't remarry a drive or use mfw with no bd check to fix this update loop.

how did u make 4.00 ofw with no BD Checks on . i know with mfw build but i thought u would have to resign it

i tried to jailbreak it with probably fake files or something through the service menu and a usb stick so might have messed up there a little, as none of it worked i will assume im still on 4.00.
what is a reverter??

MFW builder can decrypt the nessisery files on any FW Because they are not encrypted They are basically .TXT files with the info.

I am uploading it, It is almost done.

Ok here Just wipe the HDD and get the update loop to stop and install this 4.00_NoBD

just finished download, thanks for that is it easy to stop the loop? i will give it a go in the week and let you know what happens

If you format the HDD it should stop the update loop, Or go into the recovery menu. Hope it helps.
