That's what I mentioned last week. I'm not really excited with regards to this new CFW other than Sony crapping in there pants and that the scene would be moving forward.

The cfw wouldnt help you any. 3k and 4k models can't even be on 3.55 which they would need to be to even use this cfw.

If the owner of the PS3 Slim 3000 or 4000 signed up for a year of PlayStation Plus, he/she would get the money's worth, though, the games would just be rental, but still, plenty of gaming.

Reasons I want a new CFW:
Newer model PS3's May be able to get hacked,
Freedom to unlock the full potential of all PS3's,
Backing up My old games So I can keep playing them after I need to sell them to get a New game,
The Internet browser is better on the Higher FWs,
To show my friends the awesomeness of a hacked PS3,
To take advantage of the newer FW,
Play around with hacking games (Not Online cheating though),
And to try and get custom maps to work on some games

The CFW could work the same way 3.55 did, Install it from 4.xx and get a 4.xx CFW on any model PS3 Without having to have 3.55.

but this seems to be impossible, what im saying is "if" this is for people on 3.55 or people that can downgrade to 3.55 then it is useless, it will do nothing for us that we cant already do.

as to address the 3 and 4k series, but yes if it could be installed over a 4.XX firmware then yes it would be a big breakthrough but until then i see no use for one.
